St. Louis pulled ahead of Cincinnati by a half game last night when they finished their four game sweep of the Dodgers. It was the latest chapter in the 2010 NL Central battle, which has been the closest of any this season.
Twelve lead changes and five ties have highlighted this season so far, and even that has only happened within the last two months - May 16 specifically. Neither team looks to pull away any time soon, but the Cardinals will get healthier when Ryan Ludwick and David Freese return to the lineup.
