Just 11 games left til the All-Star break, and the Cardinals play seven of those games against NL Central opponents. While that seems to bode well for the Redbirds, as the Central is the weakest division in baseball, the division has given fits to St. Louis this year.
The Cardinals are 17-13 against the Central this year - that percentage is worse than their record against the NL East (10-5) or Interleague Play (9-6). St. Louis completes their homestand against Milwaukee for a four-game series and finishes in Houston for three games.
Fun fact for Cardinals fans: Oswalt will likely not pitch in that series.
Other interesting note: Suppan’s starts miss the Milwaukee series.
