
The Blues took their goalie matters into their own hands, trading for the Canadians’ Jaroslav Halak. Halak was instrumental in the Canadians’ run in the postseason this year, and the Blues undoubtedly hope the 25-year-old can help them in their own postseason run.
In exchange for Halak, the Blues parted ways with prospects Lars Eller and Ian Schultz.
Chris Mason had been the unknown factor for the Blues, as the goalie is up for free-agency in two weeks. With the trade for Halak, we think we can safely assume Mason is as good as gone.
